About Smile Camp

Smile Camp is located in Middleburg, Florida and it has now been running for more than 45 years. It is a camp run by high school aged Girl Scouts and adult advisors. The Girl Scouts serve as counselors to special needs children. Every child at Smile Camp has some form of special needs which can include, but is not limited to, Down Syndrome, visual impairment, autism, cerebral palsy, physical impairment, and intellectual dissabilities. The counelors recieve extensive training and are paired with their own camper for the duration of the week. The campers participate in activities such as swimming, singing, dancing, arts and crafts, reading, dress up, and much more. Smile Camp allows these children to do normal camp activities that are not usually available to them.
